Coastal & Beach Photography Sessions

There’s something truly magical about the California coast. The salty air, golden light, dramatic cliffs, and endless shoreline create the perfect setting for timeless, joy-filled images. Coastal and beach sessions are some of my absolute favorites because they allow us to slow down, have fun, and create epic memories with one of the most beautiful backdrops nature has to offer.

Beach sessions are perfect for weddings, engagements, senior portraits, family sessions, anniversaries, and vacation photos. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply documenting this season of life, the coast brings a sense of freedom, romance, and authenticity to every session.

I love photographing at the coast—running barefoot in the sand, splashing in the water, capturing waves crash nearby, standing on cliff tops with the wind in your hair, and capturing those in-between moments that are raw and effortless. These sessions are relaxed, playful, and full of movement, making them ideal for couples and families who want images that feel natural and alive.

California is home to some of the most breathtaking coastlines in the world, each with its own unique character. From soft sandy beaches to rugged cliffs and hidden coves, there’s no shortage of stunning locations. Some of my favorite coastal spots include:

• Rodeo Beach Marin County – dramatic cliffs, sweeping ocean views, and tree tunnels.

• Pacific Grove– rocky coves, flower carpets, tide pools, and golden sunsets

• Santa Cruz – classic California coastline with sandy stretches and beach town vibes
